Description
Lilium (members of which are true lilies) is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants growing from bulbs, all with large prominent flowers. Lilies are a group of flowering plants which are important in culture and literature in much of the world. Most species are native to the temperate northern hemisphere, though their range extends into the northern subtropics. Many other plants have "lily" in their common name but are not related to true lilies.
‘Double Pleasure’ is a Division I Asiatic hybrid lily. Asiatic hybrids are known for their large, often non-fragrant flowers (4-6” wide), wide range of colors and early summer bloom (Asiatic lilies are among the first of the lilies to bloom). ‘Double Pleasure’ is an Asiatic double-flowered form that features lavender red double flowers with creamy white streaks on the inner petals with 5-7 flowers per stem. Blooms on rigid stems rising 3-4’ tall. Excellent fresh cut flower.
"Double Pleasure" is an exotic beauty producing many-petalled blooms. These varieties are pollen-free so you can enjoy them in fabulous cut flower arrangements without messy pollen dust.

Thank you very much, Judy! I quite like this one too. It's soft, yet still well defined. ...J.
