Description
This piece has been featured in the FAA Group, "Digital Magic".
Rosella's Dream is a bulbous perennial with erect stems bearing narrowly ovate, spirally-arranged, glossy, dark green leaves and, in summer, large, upward to outward-facing flowers that have baby-pink petals that fade to soft cream. The addition of the colored petal edges and randomly scattered spots or sprinkles near the nectary really set off this lily. Nice petal substance, darker colored pollen and bronze-brown on the back side of the buds combine together quite nicely in the garden.
Lilium (members of which are true lilies) is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants growing from bulbs, all with large prominent flowers. Lilies are a group of flowering plants which are important in culture and literature in much of the world. Most species are native to the temperate northern hemisphere, though their range extends into the northern subtropics. Many other plants have "lily" in their common name but are not related to true lilies.
Asiatic lilies are the most popular within the lily family and are the perfect, easy to care for option for any garden type. The Asiatic hybrid comes in a variety of color combinations, such as pink, yellow, orange, red, and white, and is the hardiest of the hybrids.
